He has over 40 years of local government experience South and Central Florida area, including 20 years working as City Manager for different municipalities. He has a strong reputation as a fair and ethical, analytical, and results oriented leader with excellent financial and communication skills. His proactive management style and communication skills have proven to be beneficial when defining a vision and building consensus in communities by working with Commissioners, Committee members, staff, residents and business community members.
Mr. Rey has extensive experience with budgeting, strategic planning and management, economic development and redevelopment, P3 analysis and negotiations, staff and organizational development, parking management, contract and labor negotiations, and resiliency.
